Overview
A full day through a city that has been rebuilt more times than anyone can count. We start in the Old Town — the sulphur bath district of Abanotubani, the Jumah mosque, Sioni Cathedral and the narrow balconied streets around them — then take the cable car up to Narikala Fortress for the view over the Mtkvari. The afternoon covers Rustaveli Avenue, Freedom Square and the Dry Bridge market, finishing on Mtatsminda at sunset. Easy to combine with Mtskheta the following day.
