Overview
Batumi is Georgia's summer capital — a seafront city of palm-lined boulevards and glass towers that turns into quiet mountains half an hour inland. Day one covers the city: the Boulevard, Piazza, the Alphabet Tower and the Ali and Nino sculpture, with an evening walk along the sea. Day two goes up into Adjara for the Makhuntseti waterfall and its stone arch bridge, tea plantations and a family lunch in a mountain village. Batumi Botanical Garden can be added to either day.
